Hey, heads up, this plugin doesn't play nice with VisuStella's Message Core. I know there's a good chance you can't fix this, but if you use the Message Core it won't allow these Message Actions to play out. I tried to use this alongside the message core, but... yeah, it just shows the actual brackets and doesn't play the action.

(Ignore the 002, that's an old screenshot from when I thoguht you had to type it out as \PCE[002].)

Hi there!

Try going into my plugin parameters, and change the PCE to another thing. Maybe it is just a conflict of the escape code/keyword used to execute the play common event function.

But it's kinda unlikelly both plugin would work with each other, since both change things on the message functions. I guess Visu one adds not only new escape codes, but also a lot of other message stuff. And because of this, and also obfuscation, it's hard to know what they are doing and find a fix for it.

I did try changing it to a bunch of other terms; "CE," "Common" and "Summon" to name a few, but none of those worked. :/ And yeah, I totally understand why they don't play nice with each other. Just thought it'd be a good idea to give you a heads-up in case you could fix it!

Oh, sorry to hear that. Did you try changing plugin positions on the plugin manager?

I will take a look. But due to last explanation, I don't have hope that I can find the problem. I will let you know!

What other plugins by you do I need to get this to work alone? I have EliMZ_Book and EliMZ_Message Actions as my only plugins. When I talk to an NPC with \COLOR[#00fbff] Hi, it shows [#00fbff]Hi without any change to color. Or am I forgetting something?

Hi there!

Your escape code is right. What I believe is happening is a silent error that is preventing the plugin from work. If you press F8 or F12 and go to the console tab, see if there is any there and send me a screenshot.

But first, just try to refresh the Message actions plugin parameters. Just open it on the plugin manager and click on the parameters. Then close and try the playtest again.

It is like I said. A plugin parameter issue.

Go into the plugin manager and do like I told on the previous answer.

I'm having the same issue with MessageActions, with the same error in F12. I've tried refreshing the parameters, which then gives me a different error

My Parameters are set to the default

Hi!

You are not having the same error.

Your error is probably because you are not using my core plugin,  the Eli Book. It need to be installed, and it need to be above all Eli plugins.

Also make sure you are using the plugin versions that matches your RPG Maker. The MZ ones, has MZ on the filename. The MV ones, does not have MZ on the filename.

How do I use this in order to select and use items during an event? I don't understand anything in the sample project or the How to Use document.

Hi there!

You don't. This plugin has nothing to do with select and use items during an event. To do that, use the default event commands from RPG Maker.

This plugin offers you ways to do some actions on the message window by the use of new escape codes.

You can't say to me that you don't understand anything on the sample project and the help file. With this information, I will not be able to help you. You need to read the help file, and tell me exactly what you did not understand, so I can try explain to you.

If, perhaps, you are new to RPG Maker in general, run away from plugins. Just learn the engine first and when you fell confident, you go to the plugin area.

Seems a promising alternative to the Yanfly Busts stuff for character portraits, say do you have any video tutorials perchance? Btw this is from MV user

Hi there!

I don't have any video tutorials for this. Just the help file. And I believe you can understand how the plugin works by just reading it.

the MV version still works, but I stopped updating it.
