Oh, one last question, Hakuen! When I am crediting you in my game, would you prefer one entry in summary, or would you prefer individual entries for each plugin?

You can just put "Hakuen Studio" where your game put the credit list :)

I am having trouble with the MapReveal plugin, I can't find it in your list or I would have commented under there.

I have  it configured to the best of my knowledge and I've labelled regions appropriately. The fog of war does not  populate.

Am I doing something wrong?

It is like I told you before, on previous comments. Instead of telling me what you did, you need to show me what you did. Screenshot of the plugin parameters, map note tags etc. Everything that requires the plugin to work.

What do you mean by, you cannot find it on my list? You say the plugin manager? Or are you not finding it on the js folder? You can always download it on it's page and insert/enable it manually on the plugin manager.

I'm sorry my first posts are never clear enough, I try my best to explain the situation but I understand screenshots are helpful in diagnosing the problem. I have screenshot the plugin parameters, I have nothing in my map note tags, perhaps this is why I am getting nothing? 

I meant I couldn't find the plugin page when perusing your paid and free plugins. I wanted to comment appropriately under the plugin. I know the page exists, I've visited it, but I was having trouble navigating the page.


Back to the main point, the fog of war is likely not populating due to map tags. What should my map tags say?

Plugin parameter seems fine. The note tag is on the plugin help file, I don't remember on top of my head now. If you are using Cover One Region  you must understand what this reveal form does on the help file too. And paint your map with the regions according to it.

Hi there, Hakuen! I don't mean to double post but this is a new issue regarding a different plugin.

I am using your font manager plugin from this sample project, and I am LOVING it, except for one thing: the default font is gone and cannot be restored.

I have tried adding it to my list of fonts, I have tried renaming it and adding it under a new name. I cannot get the original RPG Maker MZ font to reappear while using your plugin. It will get replaced with the next font down the list.

It would also seem your plugin does not 100% play well with VisuStella's OptionsCore. The OptionsCore has a font option, but all of them get overwritten by the EliMZ_FontManager default font, regardless of whether I place your plugin below or above the OptionsCore.

I would like to have a specific font on my title, a different font for Save/Load, a third font for my menu and messages, and the rest to be the default.

I know your plugin is more than capable of delivering this already. Perhaps I am configuring something wrong; unless you can replicate the error where you cannot manually add the default RMMZ font to the font manager.

My font plugin really did not use the default RPG Maker font. If you want to use the RPG Maker font, you need to apply it on the plugin parameters, to be the first on the list and set the Default Font Index to 0:

This way, my plugin will understand that the first font on the font list should be used as a default font.

  • 0 = First font
  • 1 = Second font

and so on.

Now, I did not understand the Visustella question. Are you not being able to apply my font inside the Scene Options Menu? Or what you want is to add an option/command on the Visustella Scene Options to be able to change the font in-game?

I did not know 0 was first font! I will test and see how this works.

My visustella question is. They have a font manager inside the game that allows you to switch fonts on the fly.

Normally you can select the font you want and it will change it. It also has live font demo's as you scroll through them.

When your font manager is turned on, every single  VisuStella Font becomes your default.

Is there some crossover happening between the plugins? Is the default font being overwritten by FontManager and applied to each individual font in the visustella library?

If you need a video of me scrolling through fonts with and without the plugin I can take one. It might be easier for you to download the visustella sample project and just drag and drop your Font Manager into the plugins to see what I'm talking about. I think you can replicate the problem easily if you need to.

(I also understand the obfuscate their code, so trying to get your plugin to play nice with theirs might be a chore.)

What I believe is happening is that with my plugin ON, visustella options to change font is being useless. My plugin changes how RPG Maker handles font. As so, the Visustella is trying to change font and it is not manage to do it. 

I guess you will need to remove/change that font option of visustella, by going into the plugin parameters and mess with their code there to either use my plugin functions to change the font or create new "functions" inside their plugin parameters that allow JS to change the fonts. This is kinda advanced, I will try to take a look and see this.

That sounds a bit advanced for me. I'm not the best at adding new functions inside plugin parameters. I'm pretty good at learning about and configuring plugins, but not editing them. Please let me know if you take a look at it and what you find. :)

Heya Hakuen!

I've encountered a problem with the zoom plugin from the sample project. It seems that it doesn't follow your character beyond the borders of a stock map? The camera stops following my character who then runs off screen, while the camera rests on a plot of land.

I have my parameters set to 1280x720 and that's thrown off a couple plugins, and I was wondering if your zoom plugin works on non-standard screen resolutions?

I tried to take a video for you though the video was too zoomed in, ironically.

The plugin works just fine, I can set the zoom levels and they zoom in and out. It's the camera following the character bit I'm having trouble with.

I have an idea for an extra feature though, perhaps the camera can stay zoomed when you travel to new map? This is more Quality of Life for the  player so they are not constantly reapplying the zoom. Just a thought!

Thanks for sharing! :D I was just wondering if the "Text Windows" functionality is currently working as expected? It doesn't seem to produce any effects on the sample map. I bought the plugin for my own project and I couldn't get it to function there either.

Hi there!

1 - First, you need to check if the Text Window plugin is inside the JS FOLDER. Since it is a paid plugin, it does not come with the project. So you need to buy it, place it inside the JS FOLDER of the sample project, and enable it on the plugin manager.

2 - If you already did the above, and it still does not work on the sample project, tell me what version you are using (MV OR MZ) and I will test/check here what is going on. 

3 - In the specific case of Text Window, it can be a complex plugin, so I advise you to first make it work on the sample project(to better understand how it works), then move on to transfer it to your project.

Sample is not compatible with the new character generator

I have put the character generator and related plug-in files into the corresponding locations.

Also enabled in the plugin manager.

I will update the sample project this week. But it is strange. On the newest Character Generator(2.0.0), there is no 'split' method being executed on line 2600 as this error log is saying.

If you are indeed sure that you have the character generator plugin updated on the sample project, try refreshing the plugin parameters, because the newest version changes something there. If it still does not work, wait until I update the sample project this week.
