Hello, I just had this error and could not solve it. I am not sure if the problem is coming from the Character Frames or the Diagonal Characters plugin. The game stops when entering a new map (cannot read property maxDirectionPatterns of undefined), it is strange since it only happens in a single map for now but all the events that I am using in that map are not using any movement. Hope you can help me! Thanks a lot

Hi! For the plugin to work properly, does it need specific dimensions for the character spritesheet?

The plugin works with any spritesheet size. You just need to follow the basics of the rpg maker. If you have 5 frames on a spritesheet, that 5 frames must have the same size inside the sprite png. Like the default one has 3 frames(columns). But each frame is 48x48. So the width of the file is 3x 48.

Does this plugin support more frames for animated pictures like fire, etc...? Or do you have a plugin that does that?

Does it have a dash sprite when I press shift to dash and change image sprite?

This plugin does not do this. It only lets you use characters with any frames you want.
The plugin that lets you change character images according to their actions(dash, walk, jump...) is my Character Poses:
